Yellow Hip Road

For me to be sucked into a website, it usually takes amazing eye-candy-worthy photography/imagery (which is becoming more and more common) or fantabulous copywriting (much more rare and harder to achieve).

I'm very glad to have stumbled across this menswear site, Bonobos. Not only do their products sound top-notch, the witty descriptions and utterly hilarious blog entries kept my attention for quite some time! (Which is of course the goal of any successful website/ecommerce business - keep the customers intrigued enough to keep browsing until they buy!)

While the price points are kind of steep for my recessionista budget, I'm finding myself compelled to get the Destros for my BF for several reasons:

1. They look classically comfortable and modern
2. Their namesake has the best history and reminds me of boyhood stories I've only heard about (when you click on the "More..." in the product description you'll see what I mean)

In all seriousness, when costuming directors needed a trouser to reflect the feral fearlessness of this complex character...

Even though Festivus (for the rest of us) is over, I'm still enjoying several wintery delites...

• DIY snowglobe idea - made from limited edition Coke bottles

I'm afraid my caffeine addiction is limited to good old-fashioned Coca-Cola... while I try to make sure I only drink in moderation, I am brand loyal and despise any manipulation of the original formula (like DIET or ZERO or whatever). This seems hard for most waiters to comprehend, as they usually do a double-take when I say, "Regular Coke, please... NOT diet."

Back to my original thought... these are precious ideas for a fun wintery project :)

I wasn't aware that kittys (or dogs) were in need of wigs due to the everyday shedding of their hair, but apparently it's a major problem (or just plain fun). From the pictures on their site it looks like a whole lotta cuteness!!

I adore pictures of pets and if anything, I got a kick out of Jill Johnson's knack with a camera.

The witty copywriting is well worth the read, too! Guaranteed to make you laugh, no matter how your day is going.
